Founded In 1930 By An Englishman Opposite the Ulsoor Lake, @lakeviewmilkbarbangalore Is Bangalores Oldest Ice Cream Parlour, The Establishment Has Several Faithful OG Customers Who Remember A Time When Only 3 Flavours Of Ice Cream Were Available, Which Would Be Carted Around The Town In Boxes Via Bicycles. It Also Boasts Of Being The Worlds Oldest Milk Bar.

The 3rd-Gen Indian Owners Have Expanded Since The '70s And Introduced Snacks To Gorge On As Well.

Here's What I Had:

1) Signature Lamb Burger - Rs 230
2) Classic Hotdog - Rs 160
3) Nutella Cheesecake - Rs 180
4) Eclair - Rs 120

Minced Lamb Burgers When Marinated And Cooked Mindfully, Are Guilty Bliss. No Two Ways About It. The Curried Mince Here Was Deep In Meaty Flavour, Medium-Heavy On Masala And Just Perfect To Me. The Buns Though Told A Slightly Different Tale, And Tasted Slightly Stale.

The Chunky Chicken Sausage Nestled In The Hotdog Was Of Good Quality Meat And I Enjoyed That, Though The Oblong Bun Once Again Had An Issue With The Freshness.

Now For Something Odd About The Nutella Cheesecake; It Was Tangy! Not Sure Which Ingredient It Was That Tasted So, But Otherwise, I Quite Relished It.

The French Choux Pastry In The Form Of The Eclair Was Supposed To Be A Moist Affair, With A Firm Baked Dough Housing A Burst Of Vanilla Sweet Cream. This One Though I Found Quite Parched, To Some Disappointment.
